Rant

So how come all the junk mail I'm getting at Verizon is all about penis enlargement? Not to boast, but I doubt that any complaints have been registered.

Actually, I recognize, without looking further, that these junk mails are all phishing scams.

Gmail, it seems to me, has the best filters in the business. I wonder, what's the disincentive for the other big providers to not do any better?

Happy holiday

Found via AMERICAblog.

So awful it's a delight.

The Two-Hour Star Wars Holiday Special in only Five Minutes!

The Late Night Explosion is proud to present, from 1978 The two-hour Star Wars Holiday Special cut down to five festive minutes.

Happy Life Day!

Harrison Ford, Bea Arthur and Jefferson Starship. Un-fucking believable, but it really happened in 1978.

Faux Al Gore

The kids aren't all right.

An Inconvenient Youth
About one and a half.

Children are urinating in our pools, our lakes, and our oceans. - causing glaciers to melt at an alarming rate.

They dig up the beaches, and then eat the sand.

It's the end of the world as we know it. (It's time I had some time alone)
It's the end of the world as we know it (It's time I had some time alone) and I feel fine.

The great thing abou irony is that you can pile it on- layer after layer.

I feel fine.

Music

A post at Crooks and Liars put me in mind of this.
Of course I quickly found it on YouTube. Google paid about one and half billion dollars for that.

From about 1982,
the Scottish/English Alan Parsons Project.
Eye in the Sky.
Four and a half.

I am the eye in the sky
Looking at you
I can read your mind
I am the maker of rules
Dealing with fools
I can cheat you blind
And I dont need to see any more
To know that
I can read your mind, I can read your mind
