We see stupid people
Thank you to Pam's House Blend for calling our attention to some videos of religiously-deluded fucktards testifying in the public hearings concerning Connecticut's marriage equality bill. They make utter fools of themselves.
Here's one.
Ablmost four.
The video creator mixes delightfully funny illustrations into the unhinged testimony of a "natural family planner" who traces the decline of American Civilization, beginning with the legalization of the "birth control pill."
Since then (it did start in Connecticut - it was Griswold v. Connecticut that established a constitutional right to use a rubber) came promiscuity, pornography, abortion, divorce,"sexual marriage" (WTF?), and boys ass-fucking in the streets. By the way, he thinks these are all bad things.
I'll add that a number of sober and educated Yalies like law profs Ian Ayres and Jennifer Brown also testified.
Under current law, marriage is like a ‘whites only’ water fountain,” Ayres and Brown said at the hearing. “Civil union in Connecticut has not solved this problem, because it rests upon a ‘separate but equal’ theory long discredited in our constitutional history.
The law has only an even chance of passing, and State Governor Rell has promised a veto.
